Dr. Moreira earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she graduated in the top 10 percent of her class. She received several grants for work she did on medical missions in both Costa Rica and India. Dr. Moreira then completed a residency in ophthalmology at Brown University. She is now involved as a faculty member at Brown University Alpert Medical School in the Department of Surgery, Division of Ophthalmology.
