The EVO ICL Procedure

The EVO ICL surgery is performed on an outpatient basis, which means you will leave on the same day. Your eye will be numbed with a light topical or local anesthetic. Once the eye is numbed, your eye surgeon will make 2 side openings and one main opening to insert and position the EVO ICL behind the iris and in front of the crystalline lens.

Both eyes are typically operated upon on the same day. There is no discomfort or pain associated with the procedure. Eye drops or oral medication may be prescribed, and a follow-up visit is usually scheduled the day after surgery. Patients will be advised to arrange for someone to drive them to and from surgery. Most patients notice an immediate improvement in vision.
