Namrata Nandakumar, M.D.
Dr. Nandakumar is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with expertise in vitreo-retinal surgery. Dr. Nandakumar is dedicated to the highest standards of patient care to provide the best possible visual outcomes, preserving the gift of sight.
Dr. Nandakumar specializes in the treatment of both medical and surgical vitreo-retinal diseases including: diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment surgery, vitreous surgery, diagnostic retinal disease and retinal inflammatory disease.
Education and Training
Dr. Nandakumar received her M.D. from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center. She did her fellowship at Harvard Medical School at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston.
Dr. Nandakumar is currently on the faculty at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is on the staff of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. She completed her research fellowship at the Schepens Eye Research Institute at the Massachusetts Eye And Ear infirmary. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Nandakumar is also a clinical assistant professor at Warren Alpert School of Brown University.
